A brief confrontation between Basel and Stuttgart fans broke out inside the St Jakob-Park stadium ahead of Thursday’s Europa League fixture.
Around 40 minutes before kick-off, a group of Stuttgart fans left the away end and came to blows with their Basel counterparts after both sets of fans made their way into a neutral section of the ground.
The fight was short-lived. The visiting fans returned to their end soon afterwards, and the situation did not escalate further.
No injuries or arrests were reported in connection with the confrontation.
