Bolton Wanderers fans clashed with cops at the DW Stadium during Saturday afternoon’s Championship match against Wigan.
Trouble kicked off when cops entered the away end to eject a Bolton fan.
The flashpoint came when a cop repeatedly struck the fan’s arm as he attempted to grab hold of a handrail.
Tensions then boiled over, with several Bolton fans lashing out and throwing punches at cops.
Four people were arrested at the match — three on suspicion of public order offences and one for section 47 assault.
