Nice and Cologne fans fight in stands before kick off

Nice and Cologne fans clashed in the stands at the Allianz Riviera stadium before their Europa Conference League match on Thursday.

The fighting started when the German club’s fans left the area of the ground designated for away supporters and made their way to their Nice counterparts who were on the opposite side of the stadium.

PSG hooligans were also spotted among the visiting fans.

Cops used batons and pepper spray to quell the violence.

The game kicked off around 55 minutes after it was meant to.

32 fans were reported injured with one man hospitalised after falling from the second tier of the stadium onto the seats below.
