Como and Bologna fans were involved in a clash in Como city centre ahead of their Serie A match on Saturday.
The confrontation followed when a coach carrying Bologna fans diverted from its approved route and stopped near a bar popular with home fans. A group of visiting fans got off the coach and came to blows with Como fans.
Sticks and belts were used and bottles were thrown.
Police intervened quickly to restore order and prevent further escalation.
Two men were arrested and around 70 Bologna fans were detained for identification. No serious injuries were reported.
