Antwerp fans caused havoc after their side missed out on promotion to the Belgian top flight with a 0-0 draw at home to fellow promotion rivals Eupen on Saturday.
After the final whistle of the match, which was played at the Bosuil Stadium, Antwerp fans invaded the pitch and attacked fans in the Eupen section of the ground.
Police used batons and a water cannon to separate the sides.
The trouble continued outside the ground when Antwerp fans clashed with riot police.
