Corinthians fans clashed with police inside the Maracana stadium ahead of their match against Flamengo on Sunday.
The fighting erupted when cops entered the stands to calm Corinthians fans, who were trying to get at their Flamengo counterparts.
As a result, 42 Corinthians fans were arrested.
