Fans of Brazilian club Moto confronted their own players on the pitch during the second leg of their Maranhense Championship semi-final against IAPE on Wednesday.
With Moto Club trailing 2-0 in the 83rd minute and 4-1 down on aggregate, a group of furious Moto fans invaded the pitch and confronted their own players.
Punches and kicks were thrown by both sides before military police stepped onto the pitch to restore order, using pepper spray and rubber bullets. The referee then abandoned the match due to safety concerns.
