Six Lazio fans were attacked by Cagliari hooligans ahead of their Serie A clash at the Sardegna Arena on Monday.
It took place on Via Milano at around 4pm local time.
A group of about 15 Cagliari hools, armed with belts, assaulted the visitors as they were reportedly making their way to a hotel. The attack lasted for less than a minute.
Some of the Lazio fans was injured but declined to be taken to hospital.
