Rockdale Ilinden and Sydney United fans clash after match

Rockdale Ilinden and Sydney United fans clashed in Rockdale, a suburb in south Sydney, after their match in the National Premier Leagues NSW on Sunday.

The fight took place on West Botany Street at around 5pm.

Flares, bread crates and other items were thrown between the two sets of fans. One fan was even seen carrying a large knife.

Three men suffered minor injuries in the fight and were taken to hospital for treatment.

Rockdale Illinden was formed by Sydney’s Macedonian community, while Sydney United was founded by Croatian immigrants.
