Trouble flares at Lebanese Premier League title decider

The Lebanese title decider between Al-Ahed and Al-Ansar on Sunday was abandoned due to trouble from Al-Ansar fans.

Al-Ahed were leading 3-2 when play was stopped in the ninth minute of injury time as players from both sides clashed following a foul on an Al-Ahed player.

Furious Al-Ansar fans began ripping up seats and throwing them onto the pitch. They then pulled down the fence separating them from the pitch and clashed with police.

Players from both teams left the pitch and did not return.
