Trouble flares after Rangers v Celtic Scottish Cup quarter-final

Trouble broke out after Sunday’s Scottish Cup quarter-final clash between Rangers and Celtic at Ibrox Stadium.

After a goalless 120 minutes, Celtic beat their great rivals 4–2 on penalties to reach the semi-finals, sparking a pitch invasion from jubilant Celtic fans.

A large contingent of Rangers fans then invaded the pitch, where minor skirmishes broke out between rival fans and flares and other missiles were thrown.

Stewards and police rushed in to separate the groups as players were taken down the tunnel.

The pitch was cleared within a few minutes and order was restored.

A number of arrests were made.

Celtic fans vandalised the Broomloan Stand.
