Bolton Wanderers fans clashed with cops at the DW Stadium during Saturday afternoon’s Championship match against Wigan.
Trouble erupted when cops tried to forcibly remove a Bolton fan from the away end.
A video shows officers trying to drag away a Wanderers supporter from the stands while other away fans surround the cops.
The flash point occurred when a cop hit the fan’s arm several times as he attempting to grab hold of a handrail.
Some Bolton fans then became violent and began punching the cops.
Four people were arrested at the match, with three people detained for public order offences and one for section 47 assault.
