Violence erupted at Medellin’s Atanasio Girardot Stadium on Sunday as Atletico Nacional fans clashed with police before their Colombian first-division match against America de Cali.
The trouble began behind one of the goals when a large group of Atletico Nacional fans from the ultras group Los Del Sur invaded the area between the pitch and the stands.
Fans hurled metal barriers and other objects at police, who responded with stun grenades and baton charges.
As a result of the unrest, the match was called off.
