The Greek Cup final between PAOK and AEK was delayed by about 30 minutes on Saturday after serious clashes involving two groups of hardcore hooligans before the kick-off.
PAOK and AEK hools clashed on a footbridge connecting the two sides of the stands two hours before their match. The fights lasted about 30 minutes before riot police intervened using tear gas and stun grenades.
At least 11 people were taken to a hospital with injuries, two of them in serious condition. Another 40 or so injured people were treated on site.
